We believe in transparent pricing and high-quality care — no hidden fees, no surprises.
All naturopathy sessions at Naturopathy Melbourne are delivered by fully qualified, registered practitioners, whether you choose to visit us in person at our Brunswick clinic or connect with us from the comfort of your own home via telehealth.
Below you’ll find a full breakdown of our standard consultation fees.
Initial Naturopathy Consultation (60 minutes)
Initial Consultation – $160
Your first step towards better health. This comprehensive consultation gives your naturopath the time to thoroughly explore your full health history, current symptoms, diet, lifestyle, stress levels, and health goals. From here, we develop a personalised treatment plan tailored specifically to you — including herbal medicine, nutritional recommendations, lifestyle guidance, and any diagnostic testing that may be beneficial. A thorough foundation for lasting results.
Regular Naturopathy Consultation (40 minutes)
Regular Consultation – $110
Your ongoing appointment to monitor progress, adjust your treatment plan, and keep your health moving in the right direction. Regular consultations allow your naturopath to fine-tune your prescriptions, review any changes in your health, and continue supporting you towards your goals with targeted, evolving care.
Naturopathic Couples Fertility Initial Consultation (90 mins)
Naturopathic Couples Fertility Initial Consultation – $250
Designed specifically for couples embarking on their fertility journey together. This extended consultation explores the health history, lifestyle, and fertility factors of both partners — because optimal conception outcomes depend on the health of both. Your naturopath will develop a comprehensive, personalised pre-conception plan that supports hormonal balance, reproductive health, and overall vitality for you both.
Brief Naturopathic Consultation
Brief Consultation – $95
A focused, shorter appointment for straightforward follow-up queries, minor prescription adjustments, or targeted support between your regular consultations. Ideal when you have a specific question or need a quick check-in without a full appointment.
Extended Naturopathic Consultation
Extended Consultation – $160
For complex or multi-layered health concerns that require more time and depth. This appointment gives your naturopath the space to thoroughly investigate complicated cases, review detailed test results, or address multiple health concerns within a single, comprehensive session.
Naturopathy Re-assessment
Re-assessment Consultation (last appointment >12 months)– $160
A dedicated appointment to take stock of your health journey so far. Your naturopath will conduct a thorough review of your progress, reassess your current health status, update your treatment plan, and set clear goals for the next phase of your care. Recommended at key milestones in your treatment.
Results Review For Existing Patients (phone call or email)
Results Review For Existing Patients (phone call or email) – $30
A convenient option for existing patients to review diagnostic test results or discuss minor updates to their treatment plan without attending the clinic in person. Your naturopath will walk you through your results clearly and answer any questions you may have — from the comfort of your own home.
Naturopathic Cancellation Policy
We understand that life doesn’t always go to plan — but missed or late cancellations can affect others who are waiting for care.
Each naturopathy appointment is usually booked between 60-90 minutes, which is a significant time commitment. When cancelled on the same day, it’s often too late to offer that spot to someone else. This results in lost time for your practitioner and missed care opportunities for others.
To help prevent this, we send SMS reminders the day before your booking (usually around midday). If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us any time the day before your appointment by calling (03) 9089 7568.
Same-day cancellations or missed appointments will incur a late cancellation fee.
By booking an appointment, you agree to this policy. Your consideration helps us keep appointments available for others in need — and we truly appreciate your understanding.
Does private health insurance cover Naturopathy?
Naturopathy is once again eligible for private health insurance cover in Australia from 1 July 2025.
This landmark change follows years of collective advocacy and the findings of the Natural Therapies Review Expert Advisory Panel, which confirmed the clinical benefits of naturopathy. Atms
However, it is up to individual insurers whether they choose to include naturopathy in their policies and what level of benefits they offer. We recommend checking directly with your health fund to confirm your level of cover.
Our naturopaths are registered members of ANTA and ATMS — over 50 health funds now acknowledge ANTA-accredited naturopaths, improving access to rebates and coverage options for patients.
We recommend contacting your insurer directly to confirm your rebate entitlements before your appointment. Due to privacy laws we are unable to confirm your rebate status on your behalf
NDIS & Naturopathy
Does NDIS Cover Naturopathy?
Naturopathy is not routinely covered under the NDIS. However, in some circumstances, it may be considered if:
You are self-managed or plan-managed (not NDIA-managed), and
The treatment is clearly related to a diagnosed medical need — such as chronic constipation unresponsive to laxatives.
You have written clinical justification from a relevant health professional, and
Your plan includes suitable funding categories (e.g. health and well-being supports).
It’s essential that you gain pre-approval from your fund manager or support coordinator before booking, as we are unable to liaise with the NDIS directly.
Coverage is not guaranteed and is strictly a matter between you and the group responsible for managing your health-related supports.
If approved, we can provide a paid invoice after your session so you can seek reimbursement directly from your care package provider or fund manager.
We recommend contacting us directly to discuss your NDIS plan before booking, so we can confirm the best pathway for your care.
Naturopathy & Home Care Packages
Does the Aged Care System cover naturopathy?
Important update for older Australians — from 1 November 2025, the Support at Home Program replaced the Home Care Packages Program Services Australia, representing the biggest change to home care in over a decade.
Under the new program, naturopathy may be accessible as part of your funded care plan. Naturopathy and nutrition support — including personalised herbal, nutritional, and lifestyle recommendations to support digestion, energy levels, immune function, and healthy ageing — can be funded, either fully or partially, depending on your individual care plan.
The way your services are funded depends on how your plan is managed. If your plan is Agency Managed, check with them first as our practitioners may need to be registered. If your plan is Plan Managed or Self-Managed, you are free to choose your own practitioner.
To get started, contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or visit myagedcare.gov.au to arrange an assessment. We are happy to liaise with your package coordinator directly to confirm which of our services align with your approved funding.
Contact Aged Care before your first appointment so we can help make the process as smooth as possible.
